Workshop Terms and Conditions – Specialty Workshops {Minor}

a.k.a. the nitty gritty stuff you should know

Terms and Conditions – Specialty Projects {Minors}

Congratulations, you are reserving a maker seat at one of our workshops. Please find below a full disclosure of our TERMS and CONDITIONS. You will be required to accept these terms and conditions upon registration. We do our very best to be fair, and our policies allow us to create DIY happiness as well as your safety and enjoyment, as well as those around you and of course, our creative team. Happy making!

ONE Project Per Person:

Due to the nature of our studio and size limitations, each person in attendance must be registered to create their own project. Unfortunately, we do not allow sharing of projects.

The Nature of our Tween & Teen Workshops

This is a drop-off event and we ask that you treat it as such.  If you are uncomfortable with dropping off, we encourage you to visit with your tween/teen during open studio hours to become familiar with our studio and surroundings.  During this event, we expect the young makers to be dropped off for some creative fun.

We love & embrace the creativity of our young makers and welcome them in our studio during scheduled events planned with minors in mind.  It is important to know that our studio is primarily an adult DIY studio and our Tween & Teen Workshops are scheduled during Drop-In & DIY | Open Session hours.  There may be other people present in the studio during tween/teen events. However, our junior makers will be seated at a dedicated table for their event along with dedicated staff to instruct and assist them in their creative journeys.

Cancellation Policy:

We do not offer refunds at any time. If a registered guest is unable to attend this event; we will gladly issue a full credit (100%) on their account with more than 24 hours’ notice. A 50% credit will be applied to their account 1 – 24 hours’ notice. No shows will not receive any credit or refund.

IMPORTANT: This workshop is considered a specialty workshop and may or may not be offered again. For this reason, if you are unable to attend and you notify us in advance, your credit will be applied towards a future workshop but we cannot guarantee this particular workshop will be offered again. In the event that it is not offered again or not offered at a time that works with your schedule, your credit will be applied towards a regular workshop or a different specialty workshop of your choice.

IMPORTANT: THE BOARD BAR reserves the right to cancel this event if the minimum amount of registrations is not met by the workshop deadline; which is seventy-two (72) hours before the workshop.

Credits can be applied to a future workshop with availability. Please contact the studio so that we can properly apply your credit and complete your registration when you decide to sign up for an alternate workshop.

We understand that life happens and sometimes unforeseen circumstances pop up. You are always welcome to send someone in your place – though we don’t get involved in the finances of this transaction. Collecting from your replacement will be your responsibility.

Release Authorization:

Your child’s safety is our utmost concern and we will do everything we can to make sure they are released to the proper person(s). If we do not recognize the person indicated on the registration form, we will require proof of identification.
