{how it works}

This is the perfect solution if you don’t have enough people to host a private event and can’t make one of our scheduled open workshops.  Reserve a table | semi-private event!  Our creative studio is a fabulous place to celebrate your next birthday, bridal or baby shower, bachelorette or holiday party, neighborhood get-together, team building or a much-needed “creative escape” with your friends and family.

Semi-Private Workshops are essentially table reservations during our drop-in & diy | open session hours.  Our workshop projects are more in depth than the walk-in self-guided projects.  In addition, they are instructor-led, with the exception of our “open selection | diy studio” workshop, and require a dedicated {DIY} CREATOLOGIST (team member) to walk you through the creative journey.  Taking this into account, there is a minimum requirement of  makers (attendees) and a deposit that is required in order to schedule. Do you have more than the minimum?  Let us know! NOTE:  It is important to know that we will seat your group together, however, there may be other people joining your table (space permitting) and other makers in the studio.

The first step is to choose the project for your semi private event. Everyone must complete the same project, for example, a wood sign OR a pillow. However, within each project type, there are oodles of designs, colors, scents, etc to make each piece unique.

Semi Private Workshops

What you need to know beforehand; the nuts & bolts to our events: (in addition to terms & conditions)…

Our semi-private events or table reservations take place during open studio hours. For each project type (wood, candle, silk, etc) , there is a minimum amount of makers required in order to secure the date and save the space.  Regarding maximum number of makers, typically, the most we can accomadate are 12 at a time.  If you need more space, please let us know and we will do our best to secure another table, which is an additional 6 – 8 seats.

The host/hostess/coordinator decides upon the project type (wood or canvas pillow, for example)

For wood and pillow semi-private workshops |table reservations:  These workshops require design and personalization information in advance due to material and supply preparation beforehand.  The host/hostess/coordinator is responsible for gathering this information prior to reservations.

For water marbling, pour you own candles and open studio selection: These workshops do not require selection of color or scents in advance, so we just need to know the total number of makers attending.  

How to reserve:

You must choose your project type first in order to access the semi-private event calendar. [see above]

At the time of registration, you are responsible for paying a deposit of $120.  This deposit does not include any product or projects, it is simply a deposit.  Once we receive your deposit, a link will be sent for makers to register.

Please be sure to read the terms and conditions for our semi-private events; it’s the nitty gritty stuff that is important!

If you need to reschedule your event, you may do so ONE time with no penalty providing we have a minimum of ten (10) days in advance. Date changes with less than ten (10) days in advance will result in a loss of your deposit. A new deposit of $120 will be required to secure a new date.

Cost:

The cost of a semi-private event depends on the project that you choose. We accept all major credit cards and use a secure website for processing payments.

Arrival:
Everyone in your group needs to arrive 15 before the start time. This will give you time to find parking, your seat, meet your tablemates, make any last minute seating accommodations and start pondering project options such as colors or scents.

Our workshops follow a tight, instructor-led schedule for your enjoyment and the safety of those around you. We start promptly at the time stated at registration. Guests arriving up to 15 minutes late will join the group at whatever point the workshop has progressed to. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to work on their project and will forfeit their registration.
